6-Month Digital Photography Course

This is a 6-month course opened exclusively for the IB CAS course that I do at school. This course will start in September 2010, and all teenagers are welcomed to participate. During each lesson, a simple recording will be made to show that the course did run smoothly as evidence. Since this photographic course is for school purposes, no fees will be charged.

All participants are required to bring their own camera to the course. We will not provide any gear for lending.

1. Basics of photography
     a. Shutter speed, aperture, ISO
     b. Rules of composition
     c. Depth of field
     d. Angles and Perspection
     e. Knowing your camera
2. Discussion of different shooting techniques*#
     a. Daily usage
     b. Portrait
     c. Group shots
     d. Street shooting
     e. Macro**
     f. Landscape
     g. Wildlife and animals
3. Flash usage (Nikon CLS system)
4. Equipment discussion
5. Outings to location shooting

* Outings to location shooting will be conducted after each technique is mastered.
** Additional equipment may be required.
# Equipment discussion will be carried out.
