A normal prime lens of focal length 50mm featuring a maximum aperture of f/1.8, giving soft bokeh in the background. This is a 'D' type Nikon lens, meaning it will be useable with all Nikon manual focus film cameras due to the presence of its aperture ring. However, no full time manual focus override is available.
This lens performs outstandingly for its price, giving pleasing and professional results. Focus speed depends on the camera itself, but in general, the focusing speed is decent.
