My world of photography

Introduction

Hello everyone, my name is Long Tin. Yep, it's surely a weird name, coz I'm Chinese..no racist!
Taking photographs is my passion and I surely do spend a great deal of time in it. I'm no pro (you can tell by this crappy web page), I am just an ordinary school boy in high school. Sometimes, only having school work can really bore my out, you know, some of those boring teachers..argh! So I have decided to create a photography page of mine!
Here, you will see stunning photographs (well, not really :P) that I have taken around cities, day and night.

How did it all started?

I don't know. All I remember is that a friend introduced me to photography. Well thanks..making me spend millions and billions of dollar in cameras and stuff.

Why bother making such a lousy page?

Well, this is the only free-of-charge way which I can advertise myself. Having other people appreciating your photography is very important, well at least for me! On top of that, this can be a convenient way to share photographing ideas, as well as to help with my school IB CAS course. Yea, photography is part of it.

What I think about photography?

Whether it's a picture or painting, it's art. On a sheet of paper, we can express ourselves freely, and as well portray our personal characteristics.

Just like a painting, taking and processing a photograph may take a long time. Some of you artists out there will often bring your painting equipment out, sit by the riverside, set up all the stuff, and start painting. Same applies to photography, except more. When doing site-shooting (location shooting), we will need more equipment than you think you will need: flash, reflectors, softboxes, lenses, filters, memory cards, battery..

No one will ever be able to shoot bang on in a photograph. We shoot two, at least, in case we mess the other one up! While shooting, we will need to make amends to the output and the position of our flashes, different kinds of softboxes, different gradients of ND filters, etc. It is like using different sizes of paint brushes.
