Nikon D700

This is Nikon's first pro-level amateur full frame camera. It shares the same body as the D300 and the D300s, and is builded like a tank. Just like the D3 series, it has a circle-shaped viewfinder in order to show the image from a full frame sized sensor. With Nikon's well known technology and great image sensors, the 51 point AF system is stunning, as well as high quality photos from high ISO and auto white balance. This camera features all you can imagine, except video.

Nikon's best lenses (wide to tele)

AF Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED (DX Fisheye)

AF Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED (DX Fisheye)
This is first fisheye lens developed exclusively for use with Nikon DX format cameras, providing an ultra-wide picture angle of 180 degrees achieved by producing a smaller image circle (the size of the image that is projected by the lens onto the sensor) enabling a smaller lens diameter, lighter weight and optimal image quality from center-to-edge-to-corner on the image. This lens has a minimum focus distance of 0.14m from the lens front, making extreme distorted close-ups possible. This fisheye lens consists of Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass element which minimizes chromatic aberration. The built-in lens hood prevent any possible ghosting and flares.

AF-D Nikon 16mm f/2.8 (FX Fisheye)

AF-D Nikon 16mm f/2.8 (FX Fisheye)
This ultra-wide-angle FX fisheye lens creates dramatic full-frame images ideal for super-wide-angle special effects, interesting interiors and close-ups. It provides a 180-degree fisheye coverage with Nikon's advanced D-type AF technology. The Nikon Super Integrated Coating (SIC) is added to minimize any flares and ghosting providing good color balance.

AF-S Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G ED N

AF-S Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G ED
This f/2.8 lens is a fast aperture, high-performance, ultra-wide-angle zoom optimized for FX and DX format sensors. It has used Nikon's enhanced optical formulas engineered to produce exceptional sharpness, contrast and color, rendering outstanding image integrity. 2 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements and PGM aspherical lenses control chromatic aberrations are included in order to enhance image sharpness and contrast even at the widest aperture settings. The exclusive Nano Crystal Coat (N) further reduces ghosting and flare for even greater image clarity. As a plus, it has Internal Focusing (IF) which provides fast and quiet AF without changing the length of the lens, retaining subject-working distance through the focus range. Introducing the M/A focus mode to Nikon lenses, this enables the photographer to switch between AF and MF.

AF-S Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED-IF N

AF-S Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED
Fast constant aperture of f/2.8, high performance wide-angle to semi-telephoto zoom and optimized for FX and DX format sensors makes this a must-have lens in the bag for serious amateur and professional photographers. It features Nikon’s exclusive ED Glass, Nano Crystal Coat and Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass in order to produce exceptional sharpness, contrast and color, rendering outstanding image integrity.

With its SWM inside the lens, its AF speed is lighting fast, only about 0.3 seconds focusing from infinity to 0.38m (closet), then back to infinity. With Nikon's M/A mode, you can fine-tune the AF with only a slight touch of the focus ring, turning it into MF mode.

The 24-70mm lens is built ruggedly with professional-grade dust and moisture resistance (weather sealing). This makes this lens workable in harsh environments.

AF-S Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED N VR II

AF-S Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II
The fast aperture 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom lens features VR II image stabilization (4 stops of light), ED glass, Nano Crystal Coat (N) and Super Intergrated Coating (SIC). It excels at low-light situations, sports, fashion, portraits and more.

As you would expect from a professional grade telephoto zoom lens, it features internal focusing and internal zooming, which makes this lens more weather sealed, against moisture and dust.

With its closet focusing distance of 1.4m (1.27m measured), it produces great protraiture works. When mounted to Nikon teleconverters (TC-14E II, TC-17E II and TC-20E II (III)), this turns the telephoto lens into a super-telephoto lens.

This lens has got the 2010 TIPAS Award for the Best Professional Lens.

MF Nikon 50mm f/1.2 AI-s

Picture
The Nikon 50mm f/1.2 is the fastest high-performance, compact and lightweight manual focus lens ever made by Nikon. Sharpest of all other Nikon 50mm lenses: AF-D 50mm f/1.8, AF-D 50mm f/1.4, and AF-S 50mm f/1.4G.

This is a very reasonable-priced lens which outperforms most of the popular Nikkor zooms. The Canon equivalent loses the competition with this legend.

Mind you, this is a MF lens.

AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED

AF-S Nikon 105mm f/2.8G VR
The 105mm f/2.8 macro lens is the world’s first macro lens featuring a fast and silent built in motor, which Nikon calls it Silent Wave Motor (SWM) and Vibration Reduction II (up to 4 stops). It is primarily designed for and macro photography, but is also capable of taking excellent portraits. However, this will not be your ideal sports lens as the AF speed of a macro lens is pretty slow.

To improve from its predecesor, this new Nikon 105mm f/2.8 features Nikon's Nano Crystal Coat (N) and Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements in the lens elements in order to enhance the overall image quality by further reducing flare, ghosting, and chromatic aberrations, contributing to improved color, contrast and clarity. This lens is able to shoot at life-size (1:1), and with its minimum focusing distance of 0.314m, it offers extra working distance (compared to the Nikon AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8G ED) when working with shy insects. As a plus, internal Focus (IF) is introduced into this lens, providing fast, accurate and quiet AF without changing the length of the lens. It can then retain the subject working distance throughout the focus range.
